Yozio captures and summarizes attribution results for events you've configured Yozio to track (ie clicks, installs, deep links, in-app conversions).
Deep Link Drill Down Metrics provides you a breakdown of these attribution results by newly installed users (new installs) and users who already had the app installed (existing installs). This becomes increasingly important when looking at the source of downstream events if you are interested in better calculating ROI and more accurately mapping the end user journey.
With these Deep Link Drill Down Metrics, you can...
Once the correct version of the Yozio SDK is properly integrated and you have required SDK features configured for your app, you will start to receive Yozio Deep Link Drill Down Analytics for the SuperLinks you have published.
Yozio will automatically segment by New Installs and Existing Installs.
Let's use an example to show how Deep Link Drill Down Metrics Calculations will give more detailed and accurate insight into what a conversion funnel looks like for a given link. Let's say for a SuperLink we have the following "surface" results:
Continuing our example, let's say the same SuperLink has the following Deep Link Drill Down Metrics:
|New Install||1000||300 Installs||30%||74||10|
|Existing Install||200||200 Deep Links||100%||26||70|
For new installs metrics, Yozio removes interactions from users who already had the app installed at the time of interaction with the SuperLink, giving adjusted rates for each metric.
For existing installs Yozio reports only metrics for users who had the app installed at the time of interaction with the SuperLink:
Step 1: Ensure Yozio SDK v1.1.12 or newer is integrated into your app.
Step 2: Ensure the following Yozio SDK features are configured for your app.
Step 3: Measure your Success
Now it's time to viewing your attribution data!
For Summary Metrics go to Yozio Console > SuperLinks > Organic Links click the (+) sign next to the SuperLink of interest. The Deeplink Drilldown section for the SuperLink will then be displayed.
For Trend Metrics go to Yozio Console > SuperLinks > Organic Links and click Report for the SuperLink of interest.
Then select New Install or Exiting Install to filter you view.
Step 4: Optimize
Use Yozio Deep Link Drill Down Metrics to:
Understand if the given campaign, message, timing, offer, or channel is better with existing users versus newly installed users.
Better optimize your campaigns and funnel workflows to convert your users based upon what you've learned is more effective for converting existing users vs. installed users.
I don't see any attribution details when I try to drill down. Why?
In either case for Android and iOS the most common reason is that the latest Yozio SDK is not yet integrated and configured for your app. Please see our integration docs for details on integration and configuration requirements.
If you are currently seeing deep link attribution but no drill down details you will still need to update to the correct version of the Yozio SDK in order to see accurate Deep Link Drill Down Metrics.
Why do I see unknown on my SuperLink Report?
"Unknown" represents those users who completed a conversion event you are tracking with Yozio (such as a payment) but whose app did not have Yozio SDK v1.1.12 or newer integrated. This version is required to obtain Deep Link Drill Down Metrics.
I see deep link results for Android but not iOS. Why?
For iOS you must deploy a deep link tracking code. Please see this doc.
