Yozio SDK v1.1.12 Changelog (Android)

Yozio Android SDK v1.1.12 is now available for integration and includes the below changes from the previous version (v1.1.11).

If you are upgrading from v1.1.11: There are no changes to integration and feature configuration steps. There should be no code change needed. To upgrade, simply replace the Yozio v1.1.11 jar file with the v1.1.12 jar file.

New Feature

  • Deep link drill down metrics
    • Only tracks deep links which originated via Yozio links
    • Provides better downstream event tracking to distinguish downstream event conversions generated via a deep link launch or regular launch
    • Persists deep link metadata locally
    • New helper function to retrieve persisted metadata from deeplink

Improvement

  • Encoding/decoding bug fix
    • If metadata key or value contains "+", it will be decoded as " " according to RCF
    • If the metadata value contains "&", event posted to SDK may fail
  • Bug fix - Java.lang.ClassCastException: java.lang.Boolean cannot be cast to java.lang.String
    • New Google Chrome (since 42) adds a new bundle key (create_new_tab) to the intent and the value is a Boolean type. This will cause the Yozio SDK to throw exception as, prior to Chrome 42, the bundle only contained key/values created by Yozio and all the values are String type. Now Yozio will examine every value and proceed accordingly.
